To assist in keeping my finances straight, I've implemented the $2000.00 rule: I check my bank accounts every payday; anything over $2000.00 in my checking account is moved to savings, and anything over $2000.00 in savings is moved to debt payment (or eventually, investment). If my total expenditures for the last 30 days are under $2000.00, I have that amount available for personal puchases.

- I am a GS-07 working in the Joint Operations Center in Jefferson City, coordinating the responses of state and federal agencies to states of emergency declared in Missouri. I am a also a former U.S. Marine and ex-mercenary currently serving in the Missouri National Guard. I am a published author and poet, an Eagle Scout, an ordained minister, and a Master Freemason. I have trained in a variety of martial arts since 1990, including Hwa Rang Do, Shorin Ryu karate (I trained for three years on Okinawa), Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, and several Filipino styles. I teach classes as my schedule permits.
